Live music blares on the street corner, throngs of young people pack the streets, the smell of barbecue wafts through the air, and everyone is looking for a cold drink and a place to take cover from the sweltering heat. The culture in Austin, Texas is wild and thriving. With a state capital building that boasts of a size even larger than the United States Capitol, life in Austin is bigger and better than ever, especially for business.
Business industry leaders in recruiting and talent acquisition gathered this past week in Austin for the Social Recruiting Strategies Conference (SRSC), one of the leading trade shows across all industries which offers the latest in global recruiting trends, data analytics, recruitment marketing, candidate experience, tools, and technology. SRSC allows for attendees, sponsors, and speakers to mix and mingle for 3 days to discuss personal experiences and innovative ideas how to effectively leverage social recruiting strategies to find the best candidates. There were 33 great speakers who ranged from CEOs, Directors of Talent, Strategists, and Consultants from Bank of America, Facebook, Groupon, ING, Hot Topic, Wells Fargo, Dell, and more who came from all over the country to present on hot topics and key takeaways.
RolePoint endeavors to sponsor and support pivotal events such as SRSC that ignite the momentum and create the space for ideas in talent innovation and recruitment. We spoke with passionate leaders from Ford Motor Company, McDonald's, Sport Clips, Palo Alto Networks, Red Roof, ASNY, CubeSmart Self Storage, Follett, and more who wanted to explore how to improve the Employee Referrals and Internal Mobility platforms and learn all about the best practices for their industry.
We greatly enjoyed our fun and successful time in Austin and look forward to meeting more forward-thinking recruitment leaders at all of the 2019 SRSC events. Make sure you save the date for SRSC San Francisco, January 30- February 1, 2019 and EBrandCon San Diego, May 14-16, 2019.
Hope to see you there!
