KONE is one of the world’s largest escalator and elevator manufacturers employing over 44,000 employees internationally. With a substantial proportion of their employees working outside of an office environment, they had a communication challenge when it came to raising awareness of the their referral program. For a company focused on accessibility, it was key that everyone have an equal opportunity to refer and attract their talented contacts to their organization. Without being in front of laptop or desktop computers it was difficult for employees to see which requisitions were open and make referrals. However, every employee had access to a smartphone which was their primary communication channel. RolePoint introduced a fully mobile optimized referrals portal where employees were easily able to make referrals through numerous channels including SMS, email, social networks or by filling out a short form.
